Are you a passionate Team Leader with experience working in Data Management and Analytics? Read on!
Our client in the retail sector is looking for a Team Leader to manage the Data Management for Analytics team. You will work closely with product owners, data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution within an agile scrum framework.
Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable requirements for the data engineering team.
- Backlog Refinement: Collaborate with the Product Owner to mature the backlog, ensuring user stories are clear, concise, and meet technical feasibility for data engineers.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of BI Systems to guide the Product Owner and team on technical constraints and opportunities.
- Mentorship & Training: Identify areas for improvement and facilitate access to training or mentorship programs to empower team members.
- Technical Debt Management: Communicate technical debt effectively and translate it into actionable backlog items to ensure long-term system health.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Represent the team at cross-functional meetings, advocating for their needs and managing the team's workload based on project dependencies.
- Time Management: Oversee team time logging and ensure accurate project tracking and resource allocation.
- Performance Management: Evaluate data engineer performance and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
- KPI Tracking & Management: Review and ensure the team meets agreed-upon product KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Incident Management: Take ownership of managing business-critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
- GCP Budget Management: Manage and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Opex budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficient resource utilization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Team Leader for Data Management for Analytics, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like GCP is advantageous.
