Swan iT is searching for a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst to join a team in Johannesburg. This is an onsite position with a leader in the solar industry.
This individual will be responsible for delivering deep market insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic analysis to support the company’s growth, expansion, and decision-making. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategy and Emerging Business.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on solar energy markets, covering residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
- Leverage desktop research, surveys, focus groups, and interviews to understand customer preferences and adoption barriers and decision-making.
- Track and analyze macroeconomic, regulatory, and policy shifts impacting company target markets.
- Track technological advancements and innovation trends in solar energy, energy storage, and financing models.
- Compile forecast analysis to assess market demand, penetration rates, and revenue opportunities.
- Use data analytics tools to identify emerging market opportunities and risks.
- Provide scenario planning and risk assessments for new business ventures.
- Benchmark company’s position against key local and global solar players.
- Supply data-driven insights for company’s business cases, strategic projects, and investment decisions.
- Support go-to-market strategy development by providing customer and industry insights.
- Contribute to board-level reports and executive presentations with market-backed recommendations.
- Develop industry reports and market sizing models to support business strategy and expansion plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Economics, Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, etc.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in market intelligence, consumer insights, business analytics, or strategic research.
- Experience conducting market sizing, demand forecasting, and competitive benchmarking
- Proven ability to develop deep consumer insights, using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
