Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Swan IT is currently looking for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a position that will be based in Cape Town.

The successful candidate needs to possess strong analytical and programmatic skills, as well as have previous experience in Oracle Development.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical Guidance and Support: Offer expertise and support to the product team, assisting with technical challenges and application issues.


• Design Solutions and Database Structures: Create high-level solutions, design efficient database tables, and develop software that meets business needs.


• Develop and Maintain PL/SQL or SQL Applications: Design, develop, and maintain robust PL/SQL or SQL scripts and applications to ensure quality software solutions that deliver expected results and value.


• Ensure End-to-End SDLC Delivery: Oversee and manage all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure successful project completion.


• Support Business Users and Teams: Assist with day-to-day queries from business users and PIT teams, providing first-line support and standby services when needed.


• Facilitate Effective Communication: Maintain regular and professional communication across all levels, from junior staff to senior management.


• Prepare Technical Specifications and Programs: Develop complex and highly technical specifications and programs independently.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related


• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in PL/SQL or SQL.


• PLSQL, Linux / Autosys, SVN /GIT


• Oracle Forms / Oracle ADF and Java / Python / PHP are optional
